I am Jack. My name has several origins but generally means ‘filled with energy and health’ and my name is considered a blessing. Unfortunately my previous owner did not take good care of me and I was not filled with energy and good health. But my current owner has done an amazing job so I am getting closer every day to good energy and health. Sadly she is moving and cannot take me with her so I need a new home and partner. I am an adorable 2004, QH Cross, gray, flea bitten, gelding. I do have PPID so I’m on Prescend daily and need a dry lot to maintain my health. I was ridden before by my previous owner, My topline is still not where it needs to be, so I require ground work and lunging to build up my muscles before I could be under saddle. I think 175 pounds is my max on my back including tack so even though I was ridden in a western saddle, maybe an English saddle or bare back pad would be better. I am a quiet, well-behaved gentleman and tend to get picked on, in a herd, as I am meek (not weak). I love cats and dogs and the kids who come to groom me and give me all the love and attention I deserve. It will take time for me to feel comfortable with you as I am quiet, timid and slow to trust. Did I mention adorable?! I am good for the farrier and vet and I thrive on routine. I trailer well and have even been the decoy to get other horses on the trailer (such babies). You can meet me in Mazeppa, MN, but I cannot remain there for much longer. Please find it in your heart to bring me into your life. I will be the blessing that my name implies.
