"A good man will take care of his horses and dogs not only while they are young but also when they are old and past service." – Plutarch, 100 A.D.
Since the beginning, the success of This Old Horse has been the ability to build community. We see our new rehabilitation and training center as a place where horses find their way to good health and to good homes.
This collaboration will bring a network of traditional, complementary, and regenerative health specialty partners together to assure horses transitioning to adoptive homes are sound, fit, and healthy.
Training programs, both in hand and under saddle, in conjunction with our equine assisted and equine guided therapy partners, promise horses moving through the center have their best chance at developing the skills and temperament to assure they are good citizens, good partners on their road ahead.
